Make God the Song of Your Heart! The first of 3 collective journals!
Songs uniquely capture the essence of our lives, marking the significant moments that shape us. From weddings to funerals, the melodies we hold dear often become the soundtrack of our memories. Despite adversity and hard times, David, Moses, and Isaiah all chose God as their song. I believe that in making God our song, we must know and believe three things: God is our refuge, God is our hope, and God is worthy to be praised. This journal is the first of three. In its pages we will write, think, and pray that God is our refuge, applying the acronym SONG for each verse.
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. For 29 years, I was an elementary school teacher. I have spoken at Christian women's events and taught Bible studies for women and children. For fun, I enjoy acting and creating characters. Traveling and visiting places in the United States and foreign countries has been a joy in my life.
I am now retired and looking forward to the next road of my journey.

Life is our story.
I began writing many years ago through my journals. I would write messages for ladies’ groups, skits, short plays, and Bible Studies. Poetry was therapy for me. These were never published, but I always had that desire to complete that task.
In 2016, my teaching career changed paths when I seized the opportunity to teach creative writing for elementary students. I loved seeing the children turn their ideas into stories. Many times, they would ask, “Why don’t you write a book, Mrs. Dye?”
I didn’t tell them at first, but I had an idea of my own. It has become my first published book, A Song in Her Heart.
I want the things that I write to resonate with all ages. I hope that what I write is fun, thought provoking, inspirational and encouraging.
